AMBULANCE CARE ASSISTANTS (SCUNTHORPE):

 

Amvale Medical are currently seeking Ambulance Care Assistants in the Scunthorpe area.  This is a full time position on a 42 (average) hour contract.

 

Applicants must:

 

  • Be over 21 (for insurance reasons)
  • Hold a full UK driving licence for at least a year with no more than 3 points
  • Have no alcohol or drug related convictions.
  • Have a Grade C or above in GCSE maths and English or equivalent (proof required)
  • Live within the North Lincolnshire / North East Lincolnshire areas
  • The position is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and alcohol and substance screening.

PARAMEDICS:

 

Urgent requirement for Paramedics to work in Leicestershire area.  This is not Ambulance work it is Hospital support 24 hours per day.  For out of area applicants’ accommodation will be provided.  These are permanent positions and carry the wage rates shown further below.  We are therefore looking for Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Paramedics with a clean work record and suitable experience to work in these area.

 

Paramedics are required to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience (post NQP period), and previous NHS Ambulance Service experience is desirable.  Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving (L3CERAD) or the previous IHCD BTEC level 3 in Emergency Ambulance Driving with evidence of recent driving assessments.  A C1 licence is desirable for the role, but not mandatory.  A clean work record is essential for the role.  Up to date continual professional development (CPD) is a pre-requisite for the post, and candidates invited to interview are expected to produce evidence of this, along with original professional qualifications.

 

Posts are offered on a Variable Hour's contract and are PAYE positions with the company who are IR35 compliant.  This includes various benefits such as a workplace pension scheme, paid holidays, paid for Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) application, a comprehensive suite of online CPD.  This is a complete and comprehensive package for the right candidates.

 

Daily work includes managing ambulance admissions into the ED, taking handovers from crews, performing tasks such as phlebotomy, cannulation, 12-lead ECG, the usual patient observations, patient assessments, inter-hospital transfers for example.


Rate of Pay:


£27.00 per hour week days

£30.00 per hour weekends & nights
